The following is an excerpt from my synthesis paper written for my EDTECH 501 course:
The abundance of benefits for teachers and students with technology shows why technology should be used in today’s classroom. Resources about educational technology discuss the benefits that technology has on teaching and learning through a variety of ways. Technology benefits teachers with strategies for effective classroom management and instruction, and it benefits students with a variety of educational resources and tools to provide a more authentic learning experience. Students learning with technology have more individualized and creative educational experiences which help them to achieve academic success and learn 21st century skills. Technology benefits both teaching and learning experiences in order to improve the overall success of each and every student.
Technology will also have a large positive impact on future educational practices and strategies. With more research on current educational technology tools and strategies, technology will enhance the future of the students and the educational process. Future research should concentrate on developing more effective strategies for safety in technology, in regards to the Internet. Also, research should focus on strategies to improve technology education and access for teachers, students, and parents. Technology is one of the most important tools for overall classroom effectiveness today and in the future because of its many benefits in teaching and learning.
